일반적으로 극한 상황을 극복하기 위해 만들어진 공간으로 간주되는 주거의 개념은 이제 열악한 경제 상황과 집단의 필요를 포함해야 한다. 우리의 제안은 안전함을 느끼고 개인과 공동체의 유산을 자랑스럽게 선보일 수 있는 공간으로서 주거를 위한 새로운 정적 프레임이다. 우리 스튜디오는 사물을 인류의 기본 욕구로 보고 사물과 관련된 ‘쓰고 버리는’ 일회용 문화를 성찰한다. 효율성과 단시간에 조립과 해체가 가능하다는 점을 감안하여 작업장에서 미리 절단된 목재와 강판으로 된 단순 건식구조가 제안된다. 공간을 전용하는 행위는 대중과 건물이 공간에서 만들어내는 공연이다. 사용자와 구조는 매우 다른 표현으로 상호작용한다.
The notion of refuge, usually understood as a space created to overcome extreme conditions, should nowadays include poor economical situations and collective needs as such. What we are proposing is a new static frame for the refuge as a place to feel safe and to display personal or even community heritage with pride. The studio understands objects as a basic need of human beings while reflecting on the throw-away culture associated with them. A simple dry construction in wood and metal sheets previously cut in the workshop is proposed in order to be efficient and allow its assembly and dismantling in a short period of time. The act of appropriating the space is understood as a performance in which the public and building play on it. Thus, the user and structure interact in very different manifestations.
